ABOUT ME

I grew up a US Navy dependent, so we moved across the country on a regular basis.  I finished my high school playing career and graduated from Milton High School in Milton, Florida, class of '93. I went on to play at Manchester College in Ft. Wayne Indiana. I transferred to Indiana State University and earned a bachelor's degree in physical education in 1999. During my last two years of college, I gained my first two years of football coaching experience volunteering. After graduation, I relocated to South Carolina and coached football, track, and weightlifting. After three years in the low country of South Carolina and opening a fitness center I sold it and moved back to Florida in the Polk County area in pursuit of becoming a head football coach.  Over the next eight years, I achieved significant career milestones, including becoming an offensive coordinator while obtaining a master's degree in sports management from the United States Sports Academy.  Then in 2007 I obtained one of my goals becoming the youngest head coach in Central Florida. I followed that up by starting the football program at The Vanguard School in Lake Wales Florida as the athletic director and head football coach.  I began my pursuit of obtaining my certification as an NFL agent while coaching at Webber International University. In 2010, I took a position in Madison County, where we achieved a remarkable 36-5 record over three years, to include three district and regional championships finishing as state runner-up in 2011 and 2012. After the third season, I had the chance to return to Santa Rosa County and assist at Jay High School as a coordinator and running the weightroom for the next three years.  I was then fortunate enough to become the head football coach at Newberry in Gainesville Florida.  The team embraced the process, built trust among one another, and formed a family-like bond.  That type of buy in resulted in a 9-1 record and a narrow overtime loss to the eventual state champions in the playoffs. I was honored to be named coach of the year by three different media outlets following that very successful turnaround. Three years later I took the athletic director and head football coaching position at Hamilton County high school. After one year there my wife at the time passed away. As an unexpected single dad of two middle school aged boys at the time, I resigned that position. I took a coordinator position back at Madison County. In 2021 we were blessed to return to the state championship game and win it. In 2022 we relocated to Coffee County Georgia. I began and completed my Specialist Degree in Coaching Pedagogy from Valdosta State University. In 2023 we were able to put together the first undefeated and state championship season in school history.
